Hello and Welcome to my Homepage

As a German mineralogist I spent over 12 years (from 1988 to 2000) in Mexico, where I worked as a geologist in precious metal exploration. Currently I am living in Germany, however I travel to Mexico several times per year, sometimes because I perform a working contract, but a principal interest is the search of mineral specimens.

Most of the minerals I offer have been purchased or swapped directly from the mine personnel and Mexican mineral collectors, but from time to time I also have the possibility to collect minerals by myself. Although there exist uncountable possibilities to collect minerals in the field or in abandoned mining districts, over 80% of the top quality Mexican mineral specimens are recovered from active mines.  I will continue with my efforts in exploring Mexico for the finest mineral specimens.  I hope you enjoy my mineral galleries.

In Localities I have published short summaries with additional information about location, geology and mineralogy from specific mineral specimen occurrences in Mexico.

Currently I am heavily involved in geologic exploration work. Therefore I am almost not able to attend my website. Nevertheless I still dedicate some of my time for searching mineral specimens and I will continue with my presence in the mineral shows of Sainte-Marie aux Mines, France and in Munich, Germany. During my last trips to Mexico I found a couple of very nice fluorite specimens from Naica, deeply pink calcite crystals (also from Naica) and stunning pale purple calcite twin crystals from the San Martin deposit. My top-specimens are shown on the page “The Finestâ€.

Perfect lavender calcite crystal (5x4x3 cm) from San Martin
