The specimen is
mounted on a wooden base. The calcite crystal is water-clear at its outer rim, the zonation is caused by growth zones and microscopically small inclusions. The twin plane of this contact twin is {0 1 –1 2}. A fine striation parallel to this twin plane is visible on the crystal faces. The base of this specimen has been cut with diamond saw.
