I have danburite faceting rough in stock. Prices depend on size, quality and order size. Most of the danburite shows a very weak pink color. Please inquire for further details.

There are also a few large piecessimila to the example in the image (sold). It measured 6.7 x 4.5 x 3 cm and has a weight of 117.4 g. The area suitable for cutting comprised about 30% of the piece.   A cut stone of at least 30 carat should result.  Prices range between 2 and 8 €/gram

CH-28 :  Danburite crystal

Specimen size: 16x5x3.5 cm
Description: 16 cm long colourless danburite twin crystal with internal fractures, of gem quality at the crystal tip. The crystals twin plane is parallel to the C-axis, some alteration and fine-grained sugary quartz appear in the centre of the crystal along the twin plane.

Description: 10 cm long colourless danburite twin crystal with internal fractures. The crystal tip is of gem quality and shows well developed crystal faces with step-like growth at the pinacoid face. The crystals twin plane is parallel to the C-axis.

Description: tabular transparent calcite crystals to a width of 2.5 cm are perched on compactly shaped calcite crystals with tiny inclusions of ore minerals. A superb calcite specimen without damage.

CH-32: Pseudomorphed pyrrhotite on danburite

Specimen size: W: 5.0, D: 2.0, H: 4.5 cm
Description: A 4.5 cm high hexagonal-shaped pyrrhotite crystal has been replaced completely by pyrite and an unidentified black mineral (possibly a clay mineral). It is perched on a brown danburite crystal. A very unusual specimen from Charcas.

CH-38: Calcite with Pyrite above Danburite and Quartz

Description: Danburite and Quartz crystals are covered with a mm-thick crust of pyrite, exhibiting a nice iridescence. Yellowish skalenohedral calcite crystals appear as late generation.

Description : crystal group of the rare boron mineral nifontovite with parallel growth, 1.7 cm high. Two of the smaller crystals have broken tips. Tiny inclusions of lizardite and clinochlore. From the nifontovite find in May/June 2008.

S-1: Nifontovite on matrix

Specimen size: W: 5, D: 5, H: 4.5 cm
Description : About cm large water-clear nifontovite crystals sitting in a larger matrix vug. Some crystals are undamaged and exhibit nice modified faces at the crystal tip. Matrix is highly porous and consists of heavily included nifontivite needles, cream-coloured mm-large grains of lizardite pseudomorph after (periclase ?), furthermore microcrystalline clinochlore, andradite, vesuvianite and calcite. B-1: Nifontovite & matrix

Specimen size: W:5 cm, D: 4 cm, H:5 cm
The vuggy breccia matrix consists rock fragments and included nifonotovite, lizardite andclinochlore. In cavities are sitting numerous nifontovite crystals, most are clear some are milky-white included. Crystal sizes range between 1 and 3.5 cm, some crystals exhibit parallel growth, some are spear-shaped.

Description: Numberless natural citrine crystals ranging in size from 2 to 5 mm are sitting on a 6 cm high quartz crystal (also on backside). Attached on the backside a 3 cm long incomplete danburite crystal. A very aesthetic piece, looks much better in person. Price: 125 EUR

Description: Natural citrine on danburite. A 3 cm long doubly terminated citrine crystal group with parallel growth is perched on a danburite crystal group. Crust of older quartz crystals cover partly the danburite. Citrine is just weakly chipped on the right crystal tip. Price: 100 EUR
