I have danburite faceting rough in stock. Prices depend on size, quality and order size. Most of the danburite shows a very weak pink color. Please inquire for further details.

There are also a few large pieces like the example in the image. It measures 6.7 x 4.5 x 3 cm and has a weight of 117.4 g. The area suitable for cutting comprises about 30% of the piece.  The price is 175 EUR. A cut stone of at least 30 carat should result.

Description: colourless danburite crystal of gem quality in the upper half of the crystal. Note the rare pinacoide face at the crystal termination.

CH-28 :  Danburite crystal

Specimen size: 16x5x3.5 cm
Description: 16 cm long colourless danburite twin crystal with internal fractures, of gem quality at the crystal tip. The crystals twin plane is parallel to the C-axis, some alteration and fine-grained sugary quartz appear in the centre of the crystal along the twin plane.

Description: 10 cm long colourless danburite twin crystal with internal fractures. The crystal tip is of gem quality and shows well developed crystal faces with step-like growth at the pinacoid face. The crystals twin plane is parallel to the C-axis.

Description: tabular transparent calcite crystals to a width of 2.5 cm are perched on compactly shaped calcite crystals with tiny inclusions of ore minerals. A superb calcite specimen without damage.

Description: thin blades of light-green calcite to a width of 5 cm.

Specimen size: W.24 D.16.0 H.3.0 cm
Description: plate with calcite crystals to 1.5 cm. The calcite crystals (pinacoid and rhombohedral faces) are covered with golden-brown colored limonite.

CH-31: Citrine

Specimen size: L: 43, W: 30, D: 25 mm
Description:  single composite crystal of gemmy natural citrine (not heat treated) with intense yellow color. Although broken off at its base there appear numerous doubly terminated secondary crystals around the main crystal. Near the tip of the main crystal occur internal fractures. The crystal tip itself is slightly damaged. This specimen represents an old find.

CS-04: Calcite

Specimen size: W: 40, D: 30, H: 38 mm
Description: a very nice specimen with a 22 mm long calcite crystal twinned along (100). Calcite crystals are overgrown by white heulandite blades. The red color zones in the calcite are caused by inclusions. Very little damage at the crystal tip, but still an exceptional specimen for this location.

CH-32: Pseudomorphed pyrrhotite on danburite

Specimen size: W: 5.0, D: 2.0, H: 4.5 cm
Description: A 4.5 cm high hexagonal-shaped pyrrhotite crystal has been replaced completely by pyrite and an unidentified black mineral (possibly a clay mineral). It is perched on a brown danburite crystal. A very unusual specimen from Charcas.

CH-33: Amethyst, Danburite, Calcite

Specimen size: W: 7.0, D: 4.0, H: 6.0 cm
Description: This attractive specimen consists in an older generation of broken off danburite crystals (to 6 cm length) overgrown by danburite needles and a central amethyst crystal, 2.5 cm long. As latest generation appear white calcite skalenohedrons to 2 cm in size and some green chlorite. A new find from September 2004 in the deepest mine level.

CH-38: Calcite with Pyrite above Danburite and Quartz

Specimen size: W: 8.0, D: 7.0, H: 5.0 cm
Description: Danburite and Quartz crystals are covered with a mm-thick crust of pyrite, exhibiting a nice iridescence. Yellowish skalenohedral calcite crystals appear as late generation.
