COP-11 :  Luanheite
Copiapo, Chile
Specimen size: 4x3.3 cm
Description: partly sheared leafs of luanheite in calcite and sheared green rhyolitic tuff matrix (tuff has been altered to montmorrilonite). Acanthite replaces partly the luanheite.  Luanheite is a very rare silver-mercury mineral with the formula Ag3Hg. This specimen was found 1986 in an abandoned silver mine, about 30 km south of Copiapo, Chile.

COP-14 :  Luanheite
Copiapo, Chile
Specimen size: 2.6x2.2 cm
Description: Piece represents a narrow calcite vein with encrusted luanheite, partly with negative crystal surfaces (from calcite). Acanthite replaces partly the luanheite.  Luanheite is a very rare silver-mercury mineral with the formula Ag3Hg. This specimen was found 1986 in an abandoned silver mine, about 30 km south of Copiapo, Chile.
Price: 60 EUR

COP-15 : Eugenite on matrix
Copiapo, Chile
Specimen size: 4x3.5x2.5 cm
Description: leafs of eugenite with high metallic lustre enclose a small clast (diameter 6.5 mm) within the tuff matrix. The wall-rock is an altered rhyolitic tuff containing predominantly montmorillonite. Traces of acanthite replace the eugenite. Eugenite is a rare silver-mercury mineral with the formula Ag9Hg2. This specimen was found 1986 in an abandoned silver mine, about 30 km south of Copiapo, Chile.
